The 23' C-Dory Venture.
This new model features a deeper V, a little more deadrise and reverse chines provides smoother boating in the open water.
Maneuverability at speed is balanced and predictable, even in heavy seas. The boat holds her course with little effort. The hull’s flatness toward the stern with reverse chines greatly reduces the rolling motions, making cruising in rough water much more pleasant. Fishermen will love the way the boat tracks at trolling speeds, allowing the focus to remain on the fishing. And with only 8” draft and a thick bottom she can easily be beached on sand for beach combing adventures.
The cabin with over 6’4” of headroom provides cozy shelter. It features a comfortable seating, sleeping area & pilot’s station with excellent all-around visibility. Our Venture models are fully lined with marine foam insulation and covered with marine vinyl.
The cabin layout is simple. On port side of the isle there is a collapsible table that levels for a bunk. A forward facing seat facing toward the table and a reversable seat on the front end of the table. On the starboard side is a full galley with helm, sink, and stove. Plenty of storage is found in the cabin. The forward section of the cabin features a 6’4” “V” double berth, two reading lights, a large deck hatch, and a chemical toilet which is separated from the main cabin by a privacy curtain.
Cushions are made of high quality foam covered with durable ‘Sunbrella’ boat canvas. The colors coordinate with the exterior trim. All of the cushions can be removed so the interior can be cleaned easily.
The electrical system provides spare switches fuse holders and ground terminals for additional accessories.
The windows are Diamond Sea Glaze safety glass in aluminum frames that are powder coated to match the color of the boat. Electric wipers are standard. Side windows slide open and have screens, together with the large forward deck hatch and the standard center opening window the cabin is amply ventilated.
All deck hardware is stainless steel and through bolted. The top deck is a very healthy 3/4” thick. Deck hardware includes (5) through bolted SS cleats. Downriggers or other equipment requiring a sturdy mount base can be bolted on any top-walking surface. The bow rail and handholds on the top and rear of the cabin are also through bolted.
Both the cockpit sole and the top walk decks have a very aggressive nonskid. The top deck’s nonskid is a molded in diamond pattern. The cockpit sole is coated in a Gelcoat that is renewable.
The 23' C-Dory Venture comes standard with a 60 gallon fuel system located under the motor well. In between the fuel tanks there is a 1100 GPH Automatic bilge pump.
The motor well can accommodate a matched pair of twin motors or a large main & small auxiliary motor package. C-Dory is a strong promoter of the 4 stroke outboards and the latest technology in 2 stroke motors.
Maximum power is 150Hp. The recommended twin 50 Hp Motors will push the boat with a 700 Lb. load to 34 MPH Generally you will find 15 to 20 MPH to be most comfortable. The boat planes quickly (9-10 MPH) and without the bow rising high obstructing vision ahead.
