C-Dory 16' Angler & Cruiser - Canvas Covers
The boat canvas shown here is made of Sunbrella. (We use the same material for our interior upholstery). The outside canvas can be made to match the interior or a complementing color may be used. There's a large number of colors to chose from.
Canvas is an after market option. Most of our dealers have a canvas shop or two that they work with. All canvas work needs to tailored to the the individual boat. Obstructions such as radar, antennas, downriggers, & other fittings, must be considered in the design of the piece. Items like the "Camper back" can be made tall or short to fit the customer.

Camper Canvas
This is a typical "camper back" type canvas. It fully encloses the the aft deck, greatly expanding the living area. When buttoned-up it will hold out the weather very nicely. When the weather breaks, just roll up the back & sides, and your rigged for fair weather.
There are several variants of this top. The top can be made without back or sides panels, or it could be fitted with back & side panels that zip on & off. The top shown here has a clear window area in the back panel, but does not have one in the side panels. This is a common configuration that lets in plenty of light, but gives a little privacy on the dock side. Whatever your needs in a canvas top are, they can generally be met.
Covers
This cockpit cover (right)
stretches directly from the top of the cabin to the motor well and will keep the inside of the boat dry when in storage.
A full boat cover (not shown) covers the boat from one end to the other, (can include the motors). It drops about half way down the sides of the hull. A series of loops along the bottom edge are used to tie the cover down to the trailer. A draw string sewn into the bottom edge of the cover is used to draw the cover up-tight to the hull for keeping out the wind.
