Canvas     C-Dory    19'    Angler

We do not have pictures of the 19' canvas options, so Pictures shown are of 22' C-Dory.

The boat canvas shown here is made of Sunbrella. We use the same material for our interior upholstery. The outside canvas can be made to match the interior or a complementing color may be used. Sunbrella offers a large number of colors to chose from.

Canvas is an after market option.  All canvas work needs to tailored to the the individual boat. Obstructions such as radar, antennas, downriggers, & other fittings,  must be considered in the design of the piece. Items like the "Camper back" can be made tall or short to fit the customer. The canvas samples shown here were made by "King Marine of Seattle" (King makes the interior upholstery for the C-Dory.) Most of our dealers have a canvas shop or two that they work with.

The pictures below represent several common types of boat canvas.

Pictured above is a 22' Cruiser with a "cockpit cover". This canvas will keep out most of the rain. It is a must for boats that are moored in the open, and its handy for boats stored on their trailer. This cover has no framing and will fold up fairly small for stowing away.

There are a variety of ways this top can be configured.

It can be a top only or it can be made with roll-up or zip-out back and side curtains.

The side & back can be fitted with or without plastic window areas.

The top can be made taller or shorter as required, or just styled differently.

There are also a number of ways that the frame work can be configured. The boat shown to the left has a rigid, semi permanent frame.

Protect your boats Gelcoat finish from the sun.
Left:  A full boat cover  that comes down to just above the trailer's fenders. The cover has a series of loops sewn into its bottom edge for fastening the cover to a trailer, and a draw string at the bottom of the cover that will pull the canvas up tight to help keep the wind from getting under the cover. (not recommended for trailering)

22canvasWindows1.jpg (40443 bytes) Canvas window covers will help keep the sun out during storage. Normally the front windows are covered from the outside, and side and rear windows are covered from the inside.

The factory does not directly supply canvas options.

The canvas work shown Above was produced by "King Marine" of Seattle.
